A strange choice considering how liquid-y the formula is. The Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation comes in a square glass bottle and a paddle applicator. What I love about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation And I think everyone can agree that the price makes it at least, worth checking out. The formula is deemed to be very impressive. Those with skintones that aren’t exactly easiest to match love the colour selection. The Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation caught my eye because it was the latest drugstore foundation that just seemed to work for everyone. I’m certain that this blog post is likely your 1207192 instance of coming across a Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation review so I will attempt at taking a slightly different angle in this post so you can get a more thorough review of the foundation. I’m a foundation lover at heart and am willing to splurge or break a long-held “no-buy” policy for the sake of testing out a new formula out there. For drier skin/eye areas, I’d recommend applying an under-eye primer (like my favorite one here) or eye cream beforehand to keep it looking smooth past 6 hours.I haven’t gotten excited about a drugstore product in a while so when I keep hearing about the Wet n Wild Photo Focus Foundation ( $7.99, available here) and the many lavish praises being rained down upon it, I was curious. But if you’re able to find a match (or find a mixture of two shades that work for you), I would definitely recommend these, especially if you have oily or combo skin. The only downside is that the shade range is pretty limited at the moment. And finally, out of all the lighting situations I’ve tried so far (ring light, natural light, and camera flash), there’s no white-cast! The formula blends out effortlessly and settles to a very natural-looking, soft-focus finish. Overall, I’m really loving Wet N Wild’s new Photo Focus Concealer! Even the smallest amount helps conceal and neutralize redness and dark circles. Wearing Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealer in Light Ivory Here’s my before and after, using the lightest shade (Light Ivory):ġ) Bare skin, 2) Light Ivory applied lightly, 3) blended in, 4) continued application on cheeks and nose The only downside I noticed is that it can start to look a bit dry and exaggerate fine lines after around 5-6 hours of wear. The concealer sets to an almost powder-like finish that smooths and also slightly blurs the skin. It’s the perfect consistency in my opinion – not too thin and watery like other drugstore (and even high end) cream concealers I’ve tried, but also not too thick or heavy to the point where it looks cakey. The formula is super lightweight and creamy, and it blends like a dream. A small amount of the provides just the right amount of medium coverage – enough to cancel out my under eye dark circles and easily conceal imperfections. I have to say, I am very impressed with the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealers. Swatches of Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealers in Light Ivory (left) and Light/Med Beige (right), blended in side-by-side. Light Ivory is a cool, peachy-pink shade, while Light/Med Beige is a warmer, yellow-based shade. Swatches of Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealers in Light Ivory (left) and Light/Med Beige (right). However, for under eye concealing, I’ve been using Light Ivory since it’s at least one shade lighter than my skintone, and helps to brighten a bit more. Light/Med Beige works best for me when it comes to spot concealing around my nose, cheeks, etc. #Wet and wild photo focus skinI have light/medium skin (around NC25 in MAC) and I picked up the two lightest shades – Light Ivory and Light/Med Beige. The Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealers are currently available in 6 shades, which include: 22 oz of product, while NYX’s Hi Definition Photo Concealer ($4.99) contains only. Just for comparison, NAR’s full-size Radiant Creamy Concealer ($30) contains. So I figured, why not start with the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealer.Īt first glance, the Wet N Wild Photo Focus Concealer tube may look a little small (it’s not as long as say, NARS’s Concealer), however it comes with a lot of product –. They each have been ‘tested under 7 light conditions and with top smartphone models’, including:įrom my experience, concealer is the worst culprit when it comes to creating that white cast under the eye area in photos. Their new collection includes a Photo Focus Foundation, Concealer, Powder, and Setting Spray, all formulated to look good in almost any lighting situation – with and without flash. A brand new release to hit drugstores this year is Wet N Wild’s new Photo Focus Face Collection – created to help us achieve the perfect ‘selfie’ without any of those annoying white casts produced from our makeup.
